Author Joey Remini changes the narrative of vertigo, dizziness, and tinnitus to promote healing via neuroplasticity in her captivating book called "Rock Steady". As a healthcare professional, she approaches healing from a scientific perspective without getting too clinical or too overwhelming. She marries her personal experiences with vertigo and tinnitus and her knowledge as an audiologist to gently coach people through the "what", "why", and "how" of feeling not quite right (NQR). Her style of talking directly to you, understanding you, and helping you is both comforting and helpful. Over 6,000 people have joined her "Seeking Balance" Facebook group to gain support from others around the world.

"Rock Steady" focuses on the endless capacity of neuroplasticity and healing to reduce symptoms and improve your quality of life. Neuroplasticity is the powerful tool our brains use to learn new ideas and skills, make memories, adapt to new environments, and heal. Remini details how to promote neuroplasticity with positive thoughts, body scans, understanding, and acceptance the core message of this book.

Dizziness, vertigo, and tinnitus are common symptoms associated with concussion and post concussion syndrome, BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), vestibular neuritis, PPPD (persistent postural perceptual disorder), or may have no known cause. A variety of testing and treatments are available for vertigo and tinnitus but the process of finding the right professionals, booking appointments, and receiving treatment can be arduous and frustrating. For some, even after receiving all the "right treatments", symptoms can be persistent. Remini addresses this in her book and offers words of support and understanding along with tools to manage these common experiences. By implementing the many strategies discussed in the book, "Rock Steady" can be a life-changing.

"Rock Steady" was first introduced to me by a patient. She found it to be helpful for her symptoms, but also in her life; knowing her story, I knew I had to read it. Since then, "Rock Steady" has become a go-to book recommendation as an adjunct to vestibular therapy. It has also become the foundation of a yoga series designed specifically for vertigo and tinnitus healing. Partnering with Kristen Bredar, a health coach focusing on somatics and mindfulness, we present a 'Yoga for Balance' 6 Class Series. Our focus is to promote habituation and adaptation in a safe and effective manner to help reduce your symptoms and improve how you feel.

Optional add-on includes one on one virtual sessions with myself and Kristen to address questions, progressions, and lifestyle modifications to help you get the most out the 'Yoga for Balance' series.
