Yoga offers many health benefits for the body including mobility, strength, and balance. Yoga can also provide health benefits for the mind-body connection, such as nervous system regulation, self-awareness, proprioception, concentration, and sleep quality. Addressing both the physical and mental components of health can help improve dizziness symptoms and encourage a general sense of well-being.

Yoga can help reduce dizziness and its related symptoms by tapping into neuroplasticity; a key term for brain healing and dizziness reduction. Neuroplasticity is the ability for brain cells to grow and remodel to allow new connections to form. By promoting new connections in the brain, symptoms can be reduced, balance and strength improved, and confidence in movements elevated. Other activities that can promote neuroplasticity include vestibular rehabilitation exercises, brain games (i.e. Lumosity, Brain HQ), learning a new skill or language, or drawing with your non-dominant hand. Neuroplasticity is a powerful tool the brain and body have to heal and yoga is a great way to promote it.
